Meters
Where you specify the Energy Use Profile, utility rate information, and demand reduction throttle value for the proposal, these inputs will effect changes to the Annual Usage, Peal Power, and Total cost.
- Energy Use Profile: By clicking the blue lettering under the Meter name, a user can modify which uploaded data set to reference for a proposal.
-
Demand Reduction Throttle: By clicking on the %, a user can change how much of Energy Toolbase’s calculated Demand reduction they would like to include in the savings analysis.
-
Rate Schedule: There are 2 rates tariffs presented. The top represents the current rate tariff the customer is on before adding Solar/Storage. The bottom represents a new rate tariff the customer may be eligible for post-Solar/Storage. By clicking on the bottom “new rate,” a user can model an anticipated rate switch scenario along with the corresponding metering configuration.
- Current Utility Rates: this gets defined when the user-created that Energy Use Profile. If a user wants to edit the “Current Rate Schedule,” they need to navigate back to that Energy Use Profile screen and change it there.
- New Utility Rates: if the user wants to propose moving their customer onto a different rate option, they will specify in the “New Utility Rates” section. We initially default the “New Utility Rates” to match the “Current Utility Rates.”
- Net Metering Details: user defines the Net Metering assumptions, including ‘Metering Type,’ ‘True-Up Period,’ ‘Compensation at the end of True-Up Period,’ ‘Wholesale Energy Rate’ and 'Rate Switching Option.'
- Rate Switching Options: either “Force customer to new rate schedule” or “Choose rate schedule with greatest savings.” The default for new Proposals is to “Force customer to new rate schedule” if the New utility rate is different from the current utility rate.
- Net Metering Details: user defines the Net Metering assumptions, including ‘Metering Type,’ ‘True-Up Period,’ ‘Compensation at the end of True-Up Period,’ ‘Wholesale Energy Rate’ and 'Rate Switching Option.'
- Rate Schedule Details hyperlink: brings up a pop-up window where the user can see the full database record of that particular rate schedule, including General Info, Season & Time Periods, Billing Demand Configuration, Customer, Energy, Demand charges, and Special Programs if applicable.
