Create a Meter & Energy Use Profile
A Meter contains information specific to a physical location. This could be a specific building or a specific meter. When you create a new Lead, we automatically create a Meter for that lead, named “Meter #1”. You can edit that Meter name or create a new Meter from the ‘Edit Lead’ screen.
‘Energy Use Profiles’ are stored underneath ‘Meters.’ You can create as many Meters as you want under a given Lead and as many ‘Energy Use Profiles’ as you want under a given ‘Meter.’ If the ‘Energy Use Profile’ is for a separate building or meter, the best practice is to create a separate ‘Meter’ for each ‘Energy Use Profile.’
An ‘Energy Use Profile’ is where we recreate an annual utility bill for a specific meter. You can create an ‘Energy Use Profile’ from the ‘Edit Lead’ screen or the "Edit Proposal" screen when building a ‘Proposal’ that doesn't already have an Energy Use Profile.
Data Input Methods:
We’ve designed Energy Toolbase so you can quickly and accurately import your customer’s usage data, regardless of what file format that data is contained in. The method you select should be dictated by the type of usage data you have and the file format that it is in.
- Monthly Electric Bills: user enters in the monthly summary usage data
- Spreadsheet Interval Data: copy/paste interval data in single- or multi-column format
- Green Button Data: import a ‘.xml’ or a '.csv' Green Button Data file.
- Utility API: import directly from the Utility API service
