ETB Transaction Gallery
ETB’s Transaction Gallery provides a set of standardized payment structures commonly used in the industry. It also includes variations to support different approaches to equipment replacement and to account for additional project specific costs.
EXAMPLE: Cash Purchase Transaction has three variations.
- Cash Purchase: includes initial cost of systems only.
- Cash Purchase (User Defined): includes initial cost of systems + equipment replacement costs + O&M.
-
Cash Purchase (ETB Recommended): includes initial cost of systems + ETB's linear equipment repair costs
DEFINITIONS OF COSTS
Initial cost of systems pulls in dynamically from the PV and/or ESS costs included in each design. These costs are applied upfront, unless financed which costs are then spread out per financing type and term.
Equipment replacement costs pulls in dynamically from the detailed equipment included in the PV and/or ESS designs and will appear in the cash flow at equipment's end of life.
- If no equipment has been specified, costs and end of life years will default from your company settings.
Operation & maintenance costs will vary based on each designs equipment and support needs (i.e. cleaning, inspections, repairs) and comes from inputs defined inside of a transaction. Defined inputs include the O&M cost per W-DC, O&M annual escalation and O&M start year.
ETB's linear equipment repair comes from ETB's market knowledge of estimated system repairs necessary for extending a systems life to a standard 20 year term. Assuming the first 10 years are covered by warranties, repair costs begin year 11 and run to term using average repair costs for PV at $25/kW-DC and ESS at $30/kWh with a 3% annual escalation rate.
- Default transaction term length is 20 years. This includes savings based on the expected lifespan of the original system(s) and provides sufficient visibility into financials to determine project viability.
- If a projects financials need to include different costs or terms, you may copy a gallery transaction and edit it as you see fit or you may build custom transaction from a blank template. Click here to learn more about customizing transactions.
