Are energy storage savings still included in the cash flow analysis after the system has reached it's useful life span?
The savings from Energy Storage systems are still included in our cash flow analysis after the system has reached its useful life span. In your company settings, you have the ability to specify the replacement cost for your battery banks and inverters associated with your energy storage systems. These replacement costs will be displayed in the O&M portion of the cash flow analysis the year after the component has reached its useful life span. For example, if I have a battery bank with a 15-year life span and a $20,000 replacement cost, you will see an O&M cost of $20,000 in year 16.
If you don't want to show savings after the system has reached its useful life span you can customize your transaction so that the total cash flow term is the same as your system's life span.
