The following steps outline how to set up the kit before ETB can use it for troubleshooting:
- Remove the Sierra Wireless modem with its power cable and set it aside leaving the antennas connected. Plug an ethernet cable into one of the LAN ports on the modem.
- Plug the other end of this ethernet cable into LAN 1 port of the EMS on site.
- Connect the power adapter (the one on the right of the piKVM in the picture above) to both the Sierra Wireless modem and the EMS. Plug into power.
- Bring out the piKVM and its power adapter (the one to the left of the picture above) and set it aside.
- Plug in the video cable to the piKVM and the other end into the EMS.
- Plug an ethernet cable from LAN port 1 on the piKVM to a LAN port on the Sierra Wireless modem.
- Plug the piKVM into power.
When the connections are completed correctly, they should look like the image below. After the setup is complete, call the ETB Engineering Support line on 1 (866) 415-1445 (Toll Free). ETB Engineering will begin the troubleshooting process.
