Overview of Multi-Meter Proposals

Energy Toolbase was designed to allow users to model and propose different types of multi-meter projects. Here’s a few common types of multi-meter proposals:

• Net Meter Aggregation (NEMA): one or more solar PV systems offsetting usage on multiple meters, at multiple service delivery points. Contact your account manager for details on handling NEMA scenarios.

• Virtual Net Metering: one or more solar PV systems offsetting usage on multiple meters, at a single service delivery point.

• Multiple PV systems on multiple buildings/meters: multiple systems being proposed across multiple sites, presented collectively in one proposal, under one financing transaction.

The common thread across all of these scenarios is that we calculate the energy savings (or avoided cost) for each Meter individually, and then combine the dollar savings collectively in the financing section of the Proposal.
