Environment
Overview
The Environment Tab in ETB Monitor provides insights into the environmental impact of your solar PV and battery energy storage system (ESS). It focuses on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data, enabling operators to track and analyze carbon reduction performance over time. This feature is powered by real-time signals and cumulative metrics to help you understand how your system interacts with the grid from a sustainability perspective.
Compliance Alignment:
The GHG signal and calculation displayed in the Environment Tab follow the same methodology SGIP (Self-Generation Incentive Program) uses for compliance tracking. Both ETB Monitor and SGIP leverage WattTime’s GHG signal via the SGIP GHG Signal API, ensuring consistency between operational insights and official reporting standards.
Key Features
- GHG Emissions Signal (kgCO₂/kWh): Displays the real-time carbon intensity of the grid, sourced from WattTime via SGIP GHG Signal API.
- Cumulative GHG Removed: Tracks the total kilograms of CO₂ avoided by your Solar PV and Battery ESS during the selected time window.
- Solar Generation & ESS Power Over Time: Visualizes solar generation and battery power flow alongside emissions data for correlation analysis.
