Proposal vs Design Document Templates
ETB Developer offers two primary types of document templates to support your workflow: Design Document Templates and Proposal Document Templates. Each serves a distinct purpose. Here’s how they differ and when to use each.
Design Document Templates
Design Document Templates are tightly linked to a specific system design. These templates are populated with data from the associated design, making them ideal for presenting detailed, project-specific information.
Key Characteristics
Design-Specific: Tied to a particular design's PV System(s), Energy Storage System, Rate Schedule, etc.
Data-Driven: Included cost breakdowns, savings projections, and system specifications.
Use Case: Ideal for presenting a tailored financial analysis or technical summary to a customer based on the unique project configuration.
Proposal Document Templates
Proposal Document Templates are not tied to any individual design. Instead, they serve as general-purpose documents that support your sales and educational efforts.
Key Characteristics
Non-Design-Specific: Do not reference or require a design.
Static Content: Often include company details, messaging, and general information.
Use Case: Perfect for introductory materials, contracts, or educational content that applies across all projects.
