Types of Alerts
Below is a description of each alert, as well as the default priority and alert type. The alert type is available via webhook notifications and can be used to group alerts in client CRMs.
Communication Alerts
Controller Unable to Read Meter
This event is triggered when the ETB Controller cannot poll measurements from the meter, the meter is reporting stale data, or other metering issues are identified by the ETB Controller.
This event resolves when the ETB Controller receives valid data from the meter.

Controls Hardware Unreachable
This event is triggered when Monitor is unable to communicate with the ETB Controller. This captures power outages, internet outages, and computer failures.
This event resolves when Monitor is able to communicate with the ETB Controller successfully.

ETB Controller Receiving Invalid Data
This event is triggered when the ETB Controller receives invalid data from the battery, inverter or meter.
This event resolves when the ETB Controller receives valid data.

No Recent Data Published from ETB Controller
This event is triggered when the ETB Controller does not publish any recent data.
The event resolves when the ETB Controller starts publishing data again.

No Recent Data Published from Meter
This event is triggered when the dedicated meter does not publish any recent data. This captures meter issues coming from external meters such as an eGauge,

ESS Inverter Alerts
ESS Inverter Inoperable
Description
This event is triggered when an inverter enters an inoperable state.
This event is resolved when the ESS inverter switches back to an operable state and ETB is able to command the inverter.

ESS Power Deviating from Setpoint
Description
This event is triggered when the inverter's setpoint and the ETB Controller's setpoint differ by more then 0.5kW.
This event is resolved when the two setpoints align.

ESS State of Charge Alerts
Battery SOC Below Critical Threshold
This event is triggered when the SOC stays below 1% of the scaled SOC, for an extended period of time.
The event resolves when the SOC returns above the critical threshold level.

ESS Entered Hibernation State
This event is triggered when a hibernation handler triggers a sleep command to an ESS due to low SOC.
The event resolves when the system exits the hibernate state.

Override Event Set
This event is triggered when a user schedules an override event inside of ETB Monitor.

This event occurs when a user cancels an override.

This event is triggered when Acumen EMS begins execution of an override.

Microgrid Alerts
ESS Entered Microgrid Mode
This event is triggered when an ETB Controller site enters microgrid mode.
This event resolves when the system exits microgrid mode.

System Unable to Microgrid
This event is triggered when the system is no longer capable of microgridding due to equipment failure.
This event resolves when the system regains the ability to microgrid.

This event is triggered when the system fails to enter microgrid mode when commanded.

Solar Alerts
Solar Generation Below 80% of Expected
This event is triggered when the cumulative solar generation over the last 7 days is below the expected threshold of 80%.
This event is resolved once the cumulative solar generation is above the 80% threshold.

Solar PV Inverter Inoperable
This event is triggered when the solar PV inverter is in a faulted state.
This event resolves when the solar PV inverter is no longer in the faulted state.

Site Meter Alerts
Negative Site Demand
This event is triggered when the site meter reports a negative value.
This event resolves when the site load is positive for a 24 hour period.

Utility Meter Alerts
Utility Metered Exports Below Actual Exports
This event is triggered when the utility is reporting significantly lower amounts of exported energy than what is being measured by the ETB meter.
The event resolves when the deviation is within acceptable limits.

Utility Metered Imports Above Actual Usage
This event is triggered when the utility is reporting significantly higher amounts of imported energy than what is being measured by the ETB meter.
