NEM Programs
NEM Programs
NEM Programs are pre-configured net metering or net billing programs that users can select in an Energy Use Profile. These programs are created by our Utility Rate team and are built according to the NEM or net billing tariffs from the selected utility.
Upon selection of a program, detailed notes will appear that summarize important features and provide helpful links for each program.
The configurations of each program, including the metering type, true-up period, and compensation information, can be seen by selecting “View NEM Program.”
If there is a NEM rate schedule attached to the NEM Program, then you can view that rate schedule by selecting “View NEM Schedule.”
These NEM rate schedules can include hourly export rates like the Generation Energy Export Credits (EEC) and the Transmission and Distribution EEC for California NEM 3.0 customers. These EEC vary per hour, per day of the week, and per month and are housed within a NEM rate schedule using the Real-Time Pricing charge type. You can view these hourly values by clicking into "See Hourly RTP Charge Inputs."
Custom Configurations
Users who wish to configure their own NEM Program can do so by selecting the “Custom Configuration” option found below the NEM Program dropdown. Doing so will allow users to configure the NEM Program for their selected utility exactly as they wish.
